At Jae, we want to surprise and delight you with our fine dining creations. To do this, we expand on classic European-style gourmet cuisine, giving it unexpected twists with primarily Asian influences, and constantly set ourselves new culinary and flavor challenges.
After completing my training at the Ringhotel Eggert in Münster and my first position as chef de partie at the Wielandstuben in Hamm, I quickly found myself in Düsseldorf. I have remained loyal to the city ever since, except for a brief stint at the 3-star restaurant Vendôme just outside Cologne. After numerous positions as sous chef in Michelin-starred restaurants (including Victorian, Monkeys, and Nagaya), the next step followed—as head chef, I led Agata’s Restaurant to its first Michelin star. In 2020, I decided to take a creative break to make my dream of owning my own restaurant a reality. Over the years, I have developed my own style and now want to inspire you with this mix of upscale European cuisine and the culinary delights of Korea at Jae.
With Jae, we are fulfilling a long-cherished dream of owning our own restaurant in Düsseldorf. School friends. Gourmets. Entrepreneurs. We want to offer our guests a welcoming atmosphere and a treat for their taste buds.
